Windsor’s Hummus Fest a Success!

Windsor’s Hummus Fest a Success! An Event Where Food + Culture Came Together in the Name of Community

The VON’s Immigrant Health Clinic as well as representatives from the Windsor Jewish Federation & Community Centre (WJCC), the Windsor Islamic Association (WIA), and the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board (WECDSB) gathered earlier this month to celebrate the wrap up of last year’s Hummus Fest, ending with an official cheque presentation.

“The organizing team donated more than $7,800 toward the VON’s Immigrant Health Clinic…”

This first-time event, a joint initiative between the WJCC, the WIA and the WECDSB, was a wonderful success – a true celebration of the food and culture that unites us all. The organizing team donated more than $7,800 toward the VON’s Immigrant Health Clinic which assists newcomers with a variety of services including health assessments and making connections with primary healthcare providers.
