Ukrainian-Jewish Windsor Resettlement Fund Appeal

Jewish Immigrant Aid Services has convened a central task force composed of Jewish communities to plan for the imminent influx of Ukrainian Jews expected to arrive in Canada in the coming months. The WJCC's Michelle Turnbull represents Windsor on this task force.

The Windsor Jewish Federation & Community Centre, Chabad, Congregation Shaar Hashomayim and Temple Beth El are partnering to launch a Ukrainian-Jewish Windsor Resettlement Fund. This special fund will be used to assist Ukrainian-Jewish newcomers to Windsor with the necessities to build new lives, until it is safe to return to Ukraine. Because we do not know how many Jewish Ukrainians will arrive in Windsor, any excess funding will be sent to Jewish Immigrant Aid Services and channeled to communities in need.

To contribute to this special appeal, please make your donation out to the Windsor Jewish Community Centre and designate your donation to “Windsor Ukraine Resettlement Fund”. You can make your donation online by clicking on the button below

We do not need any physical goods donations at this time, nor do we have the space to hold items at the WJCC. Once we know of any individuals or families that are arriving, we will be able to assess this need and put a call out to the community.
